What We're Drinking

Spring + Summer 2026

As the weather shifts and the days stretch a little longer, we naturally find ourselves reaching for bottles that feel vibrant, textured, and effortless to drink. This season's selections lean mineral-driven, citrus-forward, and quietly expressive — wines and cocktails built as much for slow afternoons as they are for long dinners and spontaneous gatherings.

A few things we've been particularly excited about lately:

Château d'Estoublon "Roseblood" Rosé

Recently named to the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2025, this Provençal rosé is exactly what we want to drink as spring moves into summer.

A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Rolle creates a wine that feels both delicate and energetic. Watermelon, strawberry lemonade, and soft floral notes open the palate, while a subtle saline minerality keeps everything lifted and balanced through the finish.

This is the kind of rosé that disappears quickly at the table.

Perfect with: appetizers, charcuterie, soft cheeses, or simply good company on a warm evening.

Domaine Ferret Pouilly-Fuissé

One of the benchmark producers of the region and a beautiful example of why white Burgundy remains timeless.

The nose opens with Korean pear, white peach, acacia honey, and crushed stone minerality. Bright acidity gives the wine an effortless structure, while a subtle white mushroom note on the finish adds depth and texture.

Elegant without trying too hard.

Perfect with: herb-roasted chicken, creamy pasta, lobster, or rich seafood dishes.

J. de Villebois Pouilly-Fumé

A refined, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc that leans more coastal and restrained than overtly tropical.

Green citrus, mandarin, blackcurrant bud, and gentle spice notes lead into the signature flinty minerality Pouilly-Fumé is known for. Crisp, focused, and quietly complex with a long saline finish.

A beautiful wine for warmer weather and seafood-forward meals.

Perfect with: oysters, lobster, richer seafood preparations, or fresh goat cheese.

Alphonse Mellot Sancerre "La Moussière"

An iconic Sancerre from one of the Loire Valley's most respected multigenerational producers.

Organic, biodynamic, hand-harvested, and meticulously crafted, La Moussière is a striking expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Bright citrus, white florals, and focused mineral tension carry through from start to finish.

This is precision without sterility — layered, alive, and endlessly versatile.

Perfect with: fish, shellfish, soft cheeses, cured meats, and spice-driven dishes.

Mezcalitas

Somewhere between a margarita and something far more interesting.

This season we've been especially into mezcal-forward cocktails that still feel bright, refreshing, and approachable — even for people new to mezcal.

Our current favorite starts with:

  • Banhez Espadín & Barril Mezcal — Single-village produced in San Juan del Río, offering soft floral aromatics, mandarin citrus, dark cherry, earth, and a gentle smoke profile. Fruit-forward and incredibly approachable.
  • Cenote Green Orange Liqueur — A vibrant blend of Cenote Blanco tequila and macerated green orange peels, layered with notes of fresh citrus, cooked agave, and subtle oak.
  • Optional: Fruitful Smoked Jalapeño Liqueur — For those wanting a little more heat and smoke.

Available regular or spicy — both dangerously easy to drink.

Seltzers We Actually Want to Drink

Not all seltzers are created equally. These are the ones currently making it into our refrigerators repeatedly.

Minus 196 Vodka Seltzers

Japanese vodka seltzers made using whole fruit frozen to -196°C to preserve maximum flavor before being blended with Suntory vodka.

Ultra-clean, crisp, low sugar, and genuinely refreshing without tasting artificial.

Suerte Tequila Seltzers

Made with 100% Blue Weber tequila, sparkling water, fruit purée, and agave nectar.

Vegan, gluten-free, handcrafted, and refreshingly straightforward. Clean enough for pool days, rooftops, or whenever you want something lighter without sacrificing flavor.

Whether you're opening something for dinner, building out a weekend gathering, or simply looking for your next warm-weather bottle, these are a few of the things currently on our table.
